What is GAS or General Academic Strand?

General Academic Strand handles students who are undecided on what course or degree they want to take in college. This strand was designed so that indecisive learners can proceed with any college program. However, learners under this strand will take/may not take bridging programs (depending on your chosen school) for the subjects not taken during Senior High.

Some possible careers when you take the GAS strand are:

Gas strand is not only for the undecided or unmotivated but also for versatile students. 

GAS strand might be for you if you like learning a lot of things! Do you want to learn how to handle business while also studying arts? Then choose GAS! This strand does not only focus on one thing but on multiple things that will help you decide in the future. Who knows! You might become a lawyer as well as an artist!

As a GAS student myself, what made me choose this strand?

    I am an undecided student as well, but that doesn't mean I don't want to achieve something in life. Hence, I decided to take a course where I will be able to learn a lot of things, which will be helpful for me in the future in choosing a course. And as months go by, things started to become clear to me. I like science, particularly life science. With this, I am able to study with a clear goal in mind.

    If you are planning to take GAS as your strand, do not hesitate. This strand will help you prepare to choose. cope with unexpected circumstances, and face challenges thrown to you by brute force. I know you can do this! Go and explore the various opportunity's given by this strand.
